Product Overview

Alnico Permanent Magnet is a kind of permanent magnet made of Alnico alloy. It is made by casting or sintering process. It is a magnetic material with high magnetic properties and dimensional stability. Alnico 8 is the most commonly used grade and LNG37H is the most common type of cast Alnico magnet.

It has a high magnetic performance, with a maximum energy product of 1.13-9 MGOe and a maximum operating temperature of 550℃. Its tolerance is ±0.05mm, ensuring its high precision and reliability.

Technical Parameters
Characteristic of Both Cast and Sintered Alnico

Very temperature stable, great for high heat applications
Maximum working temperature 450-550°C
Does not lend itself to conventional machining (hard and brittle)
High residual induction and energy product compared to ceramic material
Low coercive force compared to ceramic and rare earth materials (more subject to demagnetization)
Most common grades of alnico are 5 and 8
Not suited for repelling or high friction applications

Applications

UNMAG is the brand name for Alnico permanent magnets, which are made from cast alnico material. These magnets offer superior performance and are ideal for many applications, such as motors, generators, medical equipment and more.

The maximum operating temperature of these magnets is 550℃, and they are produced in various grades, such as Alnico 5 and Alnico 8. In addition, they can be magnetized in various directions, such as axial, radial and multi-poles. UNMAG Alnico permanent magnets also have high tolerances, up to ±0.05mm. All orders are delivered within 25-30 days, and the LNG37 grade of Alnico 8 is typically used.

Packing and Shipping

Alnico permanent magnets are usually packaged and shipped with the following two methods:

1. Standard Packaging
Standard packaging for Alnico Permanent Magnets includes plastic or paper bags. The package should be sealed and labeled to assure that the contents are not damaged by water or other elements during transport.

2. Special Packaging
For special applications, such as high temperature, high humidity, or corrosive environments, special packaging may be required. This may include plastic or metal containers, or special wrapping materials.
